Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) Disclosure

Last updated: March 2, 2026

Important Notice: Your Rights Under Federal Law

The Credit Repair Organizations Act (15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq.) is a federal law that protects consumers using credit repair services. This disclosure outlines your rights and our obligations under this law.

Your Consumer Rights

1. Right to Dispute Directly with Credit Bureaus (Free)

You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report directly with the credit reporting agencies at no cost. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you may contact the three major credit bureaus yourself:

You may also obtain a free copy of your credit report from all three bureaus once every 12 months by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com or calling 1-877-322-8228.

2. No Guarantees on Accurate Information

No credit repair organization can guarantee the removal of accurate negative information from your credit report. Under federal law, credit bureaus are permitted to report accurate information for specific time periods:

  • Most negative information: 7 years from the date of first delinquency
  • Bankruptcies: 7-10 years (depending on chapter)
  • Tax liens: 7 years from the date paid
  • Positive information: indefinitely

DisputeWave can only assist you in disputing items that are inaccurate, unverifiable, outdated, or improperly reported according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We cannot and will not remove accurate, verifiable information.

3. Three-Day Cancellation Right

You have the right to cancel this contract within 3 business days for a full refund, no questions asked. The 3-day period begins when you sign the contract or make your first payment, whichever is later.

To cancel, you may:

  • Email us at cancel@disputewave.com
